Crafted for true coffee lovers, this microlot shines across brew methods, whether filter, pour over, or espresso.
This microlot hails from Finca Potosí, part of Granja La Esperanza—a visionary group of six farms led by Rigoberto and Luis Eduardo Herrera. The brothers returned to Colombia in 1998 to revive their grandfather’s legacy, transforming traditional coffee plots into experimental gardens of flavour. Their approach mirrors fine winemaking: varietals are chosen for taste, not just resilience, and every cherry is handpicked at peak ripeness by trained pickers paid by the day—not the kilo—to ensure quality over quantity.
The farm sits at 1500–1950 MASL in Valle del Cauca, where terroir meets talent. Each delivery is tested with a brix meter to measure sugar levels, and beans pass through 95 quality checkpoints before export. The name “Tres Dragones” honors the trio of mechanical dryers that help unlock the cup’s signature intensity.
Rigoberto sums it up best: “The genetic material, the terroir, and the human talent—of the three, the people are our most important resource.”
