Peru Amazonas
The Amazonas region in northern Peru has become one of the country’s most important areas for specialty coffee production. Coffee is typically grown by smallholder farmers who cultivate a few hectares of land at high elevations along the eastern slopes of the Andes.
The region’s rich soils, high altitude and cool mountain climate create ideal conditions for slow cherry maturation, allowing sugars and flavour complexity to develop fully. After harvest, the cherries are carefully washed and dried, producing a clean and balanced cup profile.
Coffees from Amazonas are celebrated for their approachable sweetness, gentle fruit character and smooth chocolate finish — making them a favourite among specialty coffee drinkers looking for both quality and consistency.
